Closing the shop at the end of the day. Cheikh Ahmadou Bamba will keep an eye on the place.

Not quite the silhouette shot I was reaching for, but at 250mm I was barely keeping the camera shake out anyway…
peace
This one sneaked up on me. Sometimes a shot will do that – I didn’t think much of it when I took the picture, but then the little LCD screen doesn’t always show the best details.
Spring
As I await Spring here in the frozen tundra, I’m combing the archives to grab a photo from the past to fill a bit of space here. It’s so dang cold outside….
red fingers
Back in May of last year, I was in Johannesburg to conduct a video-archiving workshop at ANC. One of the ANC elders took time out of his busy schedule to show me the Constitutional Court. It’s an amazing physical space, built on top of an apartheid-era prison. Looking into past pictures, I had a great day of shooting photos there as well. Thanks so much Toine!

I’m not dead yet! Just a few long, very busy weeks. More photos coming soon – promise. For now, one from the past.
walking amongst
It’s too cold to go shooting today, and I’m tired from traveling, and I’m whining…. So it’s a shot from the archives. Really – if the temperatures get back to a “human survivability” standard, I will go shooting again.
