One of my favorite places in the world is Folly Beach, SC. Back in the day, I spent many a day sailing, swimming, and playing here at aptly named Folly.
And now I return with my family. Kiddo is five, and he loves the beach. We love the relaxed atmosphere, the views, and the time off from the world.
They’re still a little small this time of year, but I know they’re fresh from the tree; I picked them myself while visiting family in South Carolina. Peach ice-cream last night, peach preserves in the making now.
Every year, we look forward to visiting Folly Beach over New Year’s. See you next year Folly.
A photo from the archives – I’m sorting through old pictures and archiving as much to tape as I dare. Hauling around 90+GB of photos on my laptop is just silly….
Snow. In the South Carolina lowcountry? Pandemonium on the roads and a mad rush to the Pig in 3…2….
Just off 321 in Robertville, SC, I was doing family history with my grandmother when I took this shot a few years ago.
