Done for the day and home. I have a basket to keep my keys, wallet, phone, etc. all where I’ll find them next time I need them. Do I use it?

Caught a glimpse of this from the kitchen window tonight and went out on the deck to grab a photo. Dang it’s cold outside!
I’m not always the best at putting holiday decorations away on time… I mean, there are 12 days of Christmas, right? Had to admit that it’s time for Santa to go away until next December.
By request – used a paper towel and rubber band for a kinda-maybe flash diffuser as mine’s at the office:
Yes, that’s a cast-iron pan. I’ve yet to find a better way to caramelize the onions.
Film – real film – being screened for the first time in years. We’re transferring to digital as part of our ongoing African Activist project.
This shot reminds me of an earlier shot when we were running all that DPTV 1″ tape.

Here in Michigan a “storm” of 1-3 inches of snow is hardly noteworthy, except when it’s the first of the season.
We watch these storms roll in over the lake from Chicago. They get hammered in Chicago and we know it’ll be worse here for gathering moisture across the relative warmth of the great lakes. This afternoon, as I was leaving work, the clouds were approaching. The building across from us is being re-coppered, from the gutters to the tips of the roof. I caught this shot as the last of the day’s sun shot across the copper, while clouds approached from the West.
And yes, the snow is falling – heavily – as I post.
that’s snow
I lived in Charleston, SC for ten years, and I try to get back to visit often. This past Thanksgiving, while in SC to visit family, we took a day to play in Charleston.
