Having tea here is one of the real pleasures of working in this part of the world. Ataya, as it’s known, is a wonderful tea served in three courses, and here it’s an essential part of the day. As is often the custom, young girls make the tea and bring it out for the family.

Days like this, I love my job. Spent the weekend with some really amazing people – they’ve lived around the world, working for human rights and fighting for freedom.And they recorded so much of their lives. Hence the 8mm projector, from the 50s:
